After my arrival to Athens yesterday evening I went out for a little exploration. Had some Greek food, probably at a touristy restaurant but I was starving so I was not picky, and gathered a sense of my whereabouts and the streets around my accommodations.
Thinking about my first few hours from last night, while having a nice breakfast, I so far think Athens is a great destination. Everything is in a relative walking distance, some incredible historical sights, and the sporadic marble side walks are just amazing. The marble just glistens in the sun, as seen below during a sunset with the trees blocking out most of the sun light.
While having my breakfast I am beginning to plan my adventure for the day. Starting with the Acropolis Museum, the Acropolis itself and then on to the Temple of Zeus. For now, here are some shots from the previous evening.
